Dr Martine Piccart has been selected to receive the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)’s 2009 Jill Rose Award, which is a prestigious distinction for biomedical research. In particular, she has been selected for her “important efforts at fostering international scientific collaboration through the founding of the Breast International Group [which] are consonant with BCRF’s aim of stimulating partnership and collaboration within the research community.” She will formally receive the award during the annual BCRF Symposium events in October 2009.
