Requirements
Application submission
Membership to BIG is open to collaborative groups, trials units or networks from around the world. It allows its members to interact regularly and to collaborate in breast cancer clinical trials and translational resarch.
Groups that are interested in joining BIG are encouraged to review the requirements below and complete the online application form.

The group applying for membership:
1. Must adhere to BIG’s mission and principles of research conduct;
2. Must select one person to be its voting representative, who will then be considered to be the main contact person for BIG. This person’s responsibilities include:
- attending all BIG General Assembly meetings (if not attending, sends a substitute)
- voting on behalf of their group on all matters
- acting as main contact between the BIG Headquarters and the members of their group
- keeping their group informed about BIG activities
- receiving correspondence specific to its group (e.g., interest forms for new or planned studies, notices concerning General Assemblies...)
- receives general correspondence (e.g., notices for scientific meetings, meeting minutes, newsletters...)
3. May select several non-voting representatives who may also attend meetings and become involved in BIG activities;
4. Must pay a membership fee of 100 EUR per year (per group) upon receipt of the invoice issued by the BIG Headquarters, except when waived for groups in resource-limited countries;
5. May present at BIG scientific meetings trials that it is developing and for which it would like the participation of other BIG groups:
- Normally, such presentations should be made very early in the development of a project, so as to allow a maximum feedback from other BIG members;
- If there is sufficient interest from others for a project to be run as a “BIG study”, the group must run it according to the BIG mission and principles of research conduct as well as the BIG conduct of studies guidelines.

If a group wants to become a member of BIG it is invited to download the application form, complete it and send it to the BIG Headquarters.
